The MICROBAR KIT allows an accelerated test of the mortar or concrete dimensional stability.

The classical methods for alkali-reaction evaluation are based on expansion measurements, on mortar or concrete standard prisms. (NF P18-585, NF P18-587), during typically 6 to 12 months.

The alkali-reaction kinetics can be accelerated by a temperature increase and by presence of water and alkali. The method presented here is based on this approach, and allows a 3 days test duration.
