MicroBAR

The Alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR) or more  common Alkali-Silica reaction (ASR) covers the determination of the susceptibility of aggregate containing silica, in combination with cement, to expansive reactions, involving the alkalis (Sodium and Potassium) by measuring the change in length of microbar (1x1x4cm) prisms

The MICROBAR kit contains all the elements except glassware to run the test.

It includes:

• 1 high precision gauge for expansion measurement
• 3 molds for micro-bars
• 3 small stainless steel reactors
• 3 baskets of PTFE for steaming
• 1 basket holder for 4 liters reactor
• 1 set of 1000 inserts
